Franschhoek Bastille Festival 2017
The annual Franschhoek Bastille Festival will take place from 15-16 July 2017 in Franschhoek. During this weekend this little winelands town will be draped in red, white and blue in celebration of the french heritage. The two-day invite all foodies and wine enthusiast to celebrate the traditional Bastille Day with a South African twist.
The Food and Wine Marquee Exhibition is the heart of the festival. Indulge in a variety of artisanal delights and other household brands. The stalls caters to the discerning palate; enjoy delicious cheeses, charcuterie platters and a selection of fine wines.
The event will take place at the Franschhoek Huguenot Monument grounds from 12pm until 5pm. Highlights of the festival includes the popular Porcupine Ridge Barrel Rolling Competition, kids play area and top performing acts to please the crowd.
