My French Valentine, one of the long awaited Cape Winelands events is set to take place on Sunday 14 February 2010 at the Oude Libertas Amphitheatre, Stellenbosch.
The performance promises to be a romantic musical fare to celebrate French music. Popular Love Songs of French origin has since travelled the world in every translation imaginable, and this show will take lovers of all ages back to a nostalgic era. A superb selection performed in the French Café Style, arranged to transport the audience straight into a French Boulevard in Paris!
The programme comprises a selection of well known numbers as from the repertoire of Carla Bruni, Edith Piaf, Francoise Hardy, Charles Trenet, Nana Mouskouri, Frida Boccara and even Manhattan Transfer. Evergreens on the programme include among others La vie en Rose, La Mer, Chanson d’amour, Boulevard of Broken dream, Les Moulins De Mon Coeur (The Windmills of my mind), Mamy Blue, Non, je ne regrette rien, Cent mille chansons and many more.
