How does The Gem of Franschhoek rally work?Drivers will compete in teams of 2 with some drivers being teamed up with Celebrities, from TV Personalities to top Wine Makers and Chefs or Sporting Celebrities, from here you will make your way around Franschhoek searching for the Gems that truly represent Franschhoek’s elegance, class, sophistication and style.
Couples will be teamed up and the Rally will begin. Each team will comprise of a driver and a route manager. Each team will receive a picnic basket, a map and the 1st clue. From here you are on your own! Teams will have to solve the clue before finding out your next destination. Each clue will have a “help” option where you will be able to go for assistance if cracking the clue proves to challenging.
You will be stopping at 6 different destination collecting “The 12 Gems of Franschhoek” everything from top Bubbly to our world famous Chocolates and cured meats. Once you have collected your 12 Gems at your 6 destinations you will return to L’Ormarins Wine Estate and feast on a scrumptious, elegant picnic of Franschhoek’s Finest with entertainment, sunshine and the feeling of a great challenge being met!
