Set in an area rich in history, there are many attractions in the village and surrounding areas. These include a brandy cellar, Cheetah Conservation area, a herb nursery and a one of a kind Toy and Miniature Museum.

Pay a visit to the Stellenbosch Village Museum, in Ryneveld Street, which is a superb collection of historic houses ranging in periods from 1709 to 1850. Each of them restored and furnished in the style of its particular period.

The Devon Valley Hotel has 2 swimming pools where guests can take advantage of breaks in between activities to refresh themselves. Vineyard walks are very popular and avid hikers can enjoy an optional 12km (7.4 miles) or 24km (14.9 miles) trail over the Pappegaaiberg while bird watchers can view a variety of bird life at the nearby protea flower plantations.

Private tastings at nearby wine farms and cellar tours can be arranged, where guests can tantalise their palates with exquisite locally produced wines and hand-made farm cheeses.
