Directions from Cape Town
Guests should follow the N1 freeway outbound from Cape Town towards Paarl / Franschhoek. Take exit 47 signposted as the turnoff for Klapmunts / Stellenbosch / Wellington. At the end of the offramp is a stop sign. Turn right at the stop sign onto the R44 towards Stellenbosch.
You will pass Butterfly World on your left. At the four-way stop, carry on straight. You will then see the R45 turnoff on your left. Take the turnoff. This road will take you past Glen Carlou, Rupert & Rothschild and Vrede & Lust wine estates.
You will eventually cross over a railway line and find yourself at a T-junction. Turn right at the T-junction (still the R45) and travel through an area called Simondium. You will pass Boschendal, L'Ormarins and La Motte wine estates on your way.
You will then enter Franschhoek Village, La Cotte Wine and the Franschhoek Information Centre will be on your left hand side. Turn right into Bordeaux Street and follow the signs to Mont Rochelle. At the entrance, security will greet you and point you into the correct direction.
