The Stellenbosch Hotel is situated in the heart of the Winelands, on Stellenbosch's oldest and most historic street. Built between 1692 and 1701, the buildings were restored and declared National Monuments in 1987.

The building which houses the Brasserie and the Restaurant also houses the new conference facility. This conference facility creates a rustic atmosphere and accommodate between 10-30 delegates.

The building which houses the Restaurant, the Brasserie and the Ladies Bar is named in honour of Jan Cats, an 18th century Dutch barber-surgeon. After serving on sailing-vessels of the Dutch East India Company. Cats settled on these premises in 1734 and offered his skills in service to the local community.

Choose from a selection of game dishes (Springbok, Kudu, Crocodile, Zebra) or live seafood such as crayfish and oysters in the restaurant or enjoy some of the specials in the Brasserie with its sidewalk tables.
