SylvanVale is the estate comprising the vineyards surrounding the historic Devon Valley Hotel. Built in 1947, the Hotel is a much-loved Stellenbosch landmark, and generations of Stellenbosch residents have fond memories of enjoying a drink or a meal while sitting on the hotel patio overlooking the vineyards. It is these vineyards which now produce the SylvanVale wines.
The Devon Valley Hotel is a rare find. This beautiful, cedarwood clad hotel is set among ancient trees, vineyards and the magnificent scenery of the Stellenbosch wine route. Well appointed, comfortable accommodation offers a choice of standard, superior and deluxe rooms. A cosy pub and an excellent restaurant serve the best in country cooking, with a choice of a la carte or table d'hote menus. Light meals are also served on the garden terrace. The Devon Valley Hotel has 2 swimming pools and a whirlpool. Golf, tennis and horse riding are all available nearby.
Conference Facilities:
The SylvanVale Rooms 1 & 2 and the Platters Room, which are flooded with natural light from large bay windows, are fully air-conditioned and can be configured to almost any seating requirement.
Nearby Sugarbird Manor offers conference facilities for up to 14 people. The relaxed and tranquil surroundings provide the ideal setting for breakaways from the office, strategy sessions, workshops and meetings.
Standard equipment including flip charts, white boards, overhead projector, screen, television, VHS video, lectern and internet connectivity, are available. Any equipment not mentioned can be hired from various hotel-appointed suppliers.
Banqueting:
The banqueting team supported by the hotel's food and beverage team, is experienced in planning and co-ordinating weddings and functions efficiently and creatively.
